Balloon Therapy is a premier balloon and event décor company specializing in luxury installations and experiential event design. As the company’s first hire and CMO, I played a foundational role in shaping the brand from the ground up. I developed the brand identity, voice, and all digital assets, while also leading social media strategy, content production, influencer marketing, and business expansion initiatives. Over my four years with the company, I helped transform Balloon Therapy from a small business into a recognized brand with a strong digital presence and franchise expansion. In 2023, the company was named one of Inc. 5000, a prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S.
Challenge
As a newly established business, Balloon Therapy needed a strong brand identity and digital presence to stand out in a competitive market. With no formal systems in place, I had to build the foundation for marketing, operations, and client engagement from scratch. Additionally, when the pandemic threatened the event industry, I had to pivot quickly to keep the brand thriving and maintain customer interest despite the restrictions on in-person gatherings. As the company grew, scaling its marketing efforts—including influencer collaborations and franchise expansion—became an essential focus.
Solution
I implemented a full-scale digital strategy, focusing heavily on Instagram, where I grew the brand’s following from 2.5K to 110K in just 14 months—directly driving 90% of business inquiries. To adapt during the pandemic, I launched online courses, virtual seminars, and DIY party supply boxes to maintain revenue streams. As in-person events returned, I hosted large-scale balloon seminars that generated $100K in revenue per weekend and drew hundreds of participants eager to learn industry techniques. To amplify brand awareness, I developed and managed an influencer marketing program, securing collaborations that expanded reach and credibility. As the brand grew in recognition, I spearheaded its transition into franchising, developing the structure and marketing strategies for its expansion.
